Dark Day Against Dallas Not Doomsday

By Eeeeeeeeegs

I will admit, the defense had its worst game since Indy. The pass rush was not there and we gave up big passes down field. I will also tip my cap to Jon Kitna. That guy made some throws. He was on the money over the middle several times to Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, and that 3rd and 22 to Roy Williams down the left sideline was pretty. He played very well.

O'Hara, Diehl and Steve Smith will be back. And Eli won't make so many bad decisions in the same game again. Everything went wrong. We only lost by 13. Take away the 14-point swing of the pick 6 and we still win the game. It's not the end of the world.

The biggest problems were mistakes on the O-Line. Which is understandable given the complete (temporary) overhaul we've had to face. Andrews at LT, Boothe at LG, Suebert at C, Snee at RG and Beatty at RT. The only guy in a familiar place is Snee. And the only guy who didn't make a big mistake that cost us was Andrews. Beatty had the false start that negated a Jacobs TD and allowed the devastating pick 6 to happen two plays later. Snee had a holding penalty that cost us a big first down. Boothe had a holding penalty that cost us a bomb TD to Nicks. And Suebert had the bad snap that Eli flubbed into a costly turnover.

All the while, we're down either 13 or 20 for most of the game and we still had the sense that we might come back and win it. We can make plays...big plays. That's not going to change. We need to get those 3 guys healthy, get the pass rush going again, and eliminate the offensive line mistakes. We're a playoff team.

We'll clean it up.
