Christmas Eve Win Places NFC East Title in Grasp

The Giants took the “season of giving” to heart with a Christmas Eve win over the Jets. In addition to being a welcome holiday gift to Giants fans, the win provided safety and security to the girlfriends and wives of the Gmen (see Rex Ryon’s Eagles postgame interview), cements the Giants' status as the “older brother” of New York, and places the Giants only one victory away from an NFC East Title and a chance for post season glory.

Some people may incorrectly believe that the final win is needed against America’s Team.  But, as ESPN recently reported, “Americans Team” will be playing at home in Lambeau Field against the Lyons.  Instead, the Giants must beat the Dallas Cowboys next week to cement a playoffs spot.

“Be afraid Jerry Jones.  Be very afraid,” recently cautioned Carl, a Giants fan and animated football prognosticator.  But, with inconsistent play all season, it is hard to forecast a Giants performance worthy of fear. For right now, gratitude that the Giants control their fate with only one regular season game remaining seems appropriate and satisfactory.

Merry Christmas from the Big Blue Roundup
