Dallas Loss Least Costly Now, Cornerbacks Needed

By Eeeeeeeeegs

1. The NYG have played Dallas in 3 of the 5 most recent regular season games. If we had to loose only one of those games...thank God it was this one.

2. We tried to prove to the world we can run the ball this year.  Hopefully, we proved to ourselves we still can not run. I vote we "change our platform" and abandon the run. Ogletree and Hixon seemed to be the best playmakers on the field. Unfortunately, Ogletree was out there for 50+ plays while Hixon was only out there for about 10-12. We did not show any 3WR sets? Very aggravating.

3.  I spent the days and weeks leading up to this game saying, "I hope Witten, Austin and Bryant are healthy...I'd hate to win if it's not against their best." Then, I woke up in the 2nd half to realize we were down to our FIFTH string cornerback. Justin Tryon was completely lost out there, particularly on the 1st & 30 TD to Austin and several of those mid-range 3rd down conversions. It clearly made the difference in the game. I do not know how we will be able to address this situation going forward. Terrell Thomas, Prince Amukamara, Jayron Hosley, Michael Coe...all unavailable to lock down that corner? Oh, boy.

4. Cruz, stop reading about yourself and catch the ball.

5. Wilson. Take a seat. I've heard several analysts last night and today say Coughlin was too hard on David Wilson for benching him after fumbling on his first NFL carry. This is not a psychological therapy "self-help" group. This is the NFL. You fumbled once per 48 carries at Virginia Tech. Learn how to secure the ball...but don't learn it on the job. We'll address it in practice. Coughlin has been LEGENDARY in curing the fumbling problems of the likes of Tiki Barber and Ahmad Bradshaw. Shut your mouths Heath Evans and Dan Patrick, Coughlin knows what he's doing when he benches Wilson.

6. Paging Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora...the season has started! Please meet your party at the line of scrimmage.
