Eeeeeeeeegs responds to an e-mail from "Old School" who said:

"This weekend Bill BeliCheat came up with some scheme to prevent The Ravens from making substitutions.  John Harbaugh said he's never seen the play before in the NFL.  Harbaugh had to draw a 15 yard penalty to get the refs to make adjustments.  Is it me, or do the Patriots have no class?"

Bill Belichick. is the Greatest coach ever.  And, he is more responsible for the Giants first two Super Bowl wins than Parcells, in my opinion.  I wish he were the Giants' head coach today.

I don't believe Belichick cut ethical corners.  Base runners have been stealing signs for over a century in MLB.  Every coach calls in football plays with a clipboard covering his mouth.  And, every team was filming their opponents' pre-game walk throughs to get an edge before Mangini blew the whistle on Belichick 10 years ago...after participating the same activity on his staff.  

When Ray Handley took over the helm in New York in 1991-92, Belicheck took over in Cleveland.  The entire NFL was getting hotel rooms at the Sheridan in East Rutheford, NJ watching the Giants' practices at the outdoor Meadowlands field.  Belichick had to call Handley and let him know it was happening.  He then moved the practices into the indoor bubble.

People hate Belichick because he is successful and cold to the media.  I consider him "gruff but loveable." But "haters gonna hate."  I'm a lover, not a hater.  So how could I do anything but love the most brilliant tactician (and locker room uniter) that the game I love has ever seen?
